Visiting Scholars

Hsin-Chaun received his B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2014 at National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and obtained his Master degree in Chemistry in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Jim-Min Fang at National Taiwan University. There he worked on the synthesis of fluorescent sensors for screening of transglycosylase inhibitors. He joined Dr. Gavin Painter's group in Ferrier Research Institute in 2020 as a Ph.D. student. But due to New Zealand's border control caused by COVID-19, he began his first-year research under Dr. Todd Lowary's co-supervision. After 2 years being a visiting student in IBC, he has returned to Ferrier and continued his research in the synthesis of LOS I produced by Mycobacterium gastri.
